OEM deal addresses convergence of electronic application integration and extraction, transformation and loading
San Francisco — March 21, 2005 — Embarcadero Technologies Inc., a provider of data lifecycle management solutions, today said its DT/Studio software will serve as the data integration engine behind TIBCO Software's DataExchange, which is an extension to the TIBCO BusinessWorks integration platform.
According to Ram Menon, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, TIBCO Software Inc., the software will enable his company to respond to customer demand for an extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) solution. "Embarcadero Technologies' DT/Studio which will assist us in offering a nimble data integration solution that complements our TIBCO BusinessWorks integration platform," Menon said.
Under the terms of the agreement, TIBCO is granted a license to embed Embarcadero DT/Studio, as well as provide the DT/Studio and DT/Engine user interfaces in a manner that is transparent to end users.
Embarcadero will support this relationship through product enhancements designed to further facilitate the embedding of the DT/Studio solution. TIBCO will manage the product release and will drive the marketing and sales of the TIBCO DataExchange product.

TIBCO DataExchange will be made generally available in the first half of 2005.
