Working with consulting firm ESYNC on facility redesign and WMS implementation projects
Toledo, OH — March 30, 2005 — Kichler Lighting has completed several performance improvement projects and are embarking on more in conjunction with ESYNC, a supply chain consulting and systems integration firm, according to an announcement this week from the consulting company.
Founded in 1938, privately held Kichler is based in Cleveland and operates three facilities throughout the United States to serve residential and commercial distribution channels. The company offers decorative home lighting fixtures.
Redesign of Kichler's Cleveland distribution center, a warehouse management system (WMS) evaluation and development of an integrated project and resource plan were completed in 2004, ESYNC said.
The two companies are now in the process of deploying the facility redesign, process changes and a WMS solution from HighJump Software, a 3M Company, in order to support Kichler's growth plan, improve overall facility throughput and meet or exceed customer service expectations.
