Georgia-Pacific, Henkel and Mattel sign with data pool

Birmingham, England — April 25, 2005 — Transora, provider of a Data Pool solution, has announced continued growth in Europe as three consumer products companies, Georgia-Pacific, Henkel and Mattel, have selected the company's Source Data Pool as their data synchronization solution.

Now in its fifth year, Transora said it continues to expand beyond its original North American base of operations to reach a growing group of European retailers. According to the provider, manufacturers across Europe face a challenge as an increasing number of their retail partners demand more data in more markets; specifically they need to synchronize item master data for their full product range to a number of retailers across a wide geography.

Transora said its market coverage is due to its ability to synchronize supply chain data within the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN), as well as link to non-standard European Data Pools in order to reach all prepared retailers.

Georgia-Pacific and Mattel are already synchronizing data in North America with Transora, and have now expanded their data synchronization operations into the European market to support their global strategies.
