Mitrix now offers Internet-hosed supply chain management solution for small, midsize companies
Irvine, CA — June 6, 2005 — Mitrix Inc, a subsidiary of global trading company Mitsui & Co. (U.S.A.) Inc. today announced the launch of SCM Live, an on-demand supply chain management (SCM) solution delivered via the Internet.
The provider said SCM Live is designed specifically for small- to mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Edward Lewis, president and CEO of Mitrix, said that the current processes that SMEs use to run their supply chains, such as fax, e-mail and spreadsheets, are not scalable, leaving them unable to respond to competitive pressures. "SCM Live is designed to bring the same functionality that large enterprises enjoy from their supply chain technology to the small and mid-sized enterprise market," he said. "SMEs and divisions within larger enterprises now get the best of both worlds: the depth of supply chain technology and the efficiency of a Web-based solution."
Lewis said that SCM Live was developed by 20+ year veterans in supply chain management who understand the specific needs of supply chain management for SME markets. He added that the solution has been in operation for over two years, managing an international network with Mitsui USA's global trading partners.
