Manufacturer selects software from Infor to streamline operations across multiple ERP systems
Northville, MI — June 16, 2005 — Cooper Standard Automotive, a leading manufacturer of sealing systems products, fluid control systems, trim, vibration control applications and other related NVH products for the global automotive industry, said it has selected Infor's SupplyWEB for 25 manufacturing facilities in North and South America.
SupplyWEB is a component of Infor's Automotive Essentials suite, which the provider said it a set of modular solutions designed to solve the challenges found in the global automotive industry.
With SupplyWEB, Cooper Standard Automotive said it will streamline its supplier facing operations across multiple enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, resulting in inventory and premium freight reductions and improving overall business processes. Cooper Standard Automotive expects to realize additional benefits with order fulfillment processes by using additional SupplyWEB modules including eKanban, Supplier Managed Inventory and Supplier Metrics.

Cooper Standard Automotive purchased all of the SupplyWEB modules because the solution addresses the opportunities it wanted to improve, including multiple replenishment strategies, premium freight, inventory management and inventory accuracy, which leads to key performance indicators and metrics that Cooper Standard Automotive utilizes to continuously monitor its level of performance.
SupplyWEB also has tools that allow Cooper Standard Automotive to adapt to supplier choice with speed. Cooper Standard Automotive's implementation of SupplyWEB will begin in July 2005. We will engage in a deliberate tiered deployment based on business requirements, said Harold Reese, Cooper Standard's vice president of Information
Technology. The implementation is designed to complement Cooper Standard's ERP deployment strategy.
