Savi's Mark Nelson also appointed chairman of AIM Global's new Education and Public Policy Committee
Sunnyvale, CA — August 4, 2005 — Savi Technology Inc., a provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions for supply chain management and security, announced today that Fraser Jennings, Savi's vice president of Standards and Regulatory Activities, has been elected to the Board of Directors of AIM Global. AIM Global, a not-for-profit trade association, is a worldwide authority and professional association for the automatic identification and mobility industry. Jennings, who will serve a two-year term, joins 12 other industry leaders on the AIM Board of Directors.
"Savi Technology has been involved in facets of the automatic identification and mobility industry since 1989, and I'm honored to serve on the Board of AIM Global to help provide input on the important issues facing our entire industry," said Jennings. "This is an especially exciting time for our industry because of the growing recognition and validation of RFID and related AIM technologies to improve value and security for both business and government organizations."

At Savi Technology, Jennings is responsible for ensuring regulatory and standards compliance, as well as identifying and executing plans for developing emerging standards in the RFID market, including American National Standards Institute (ANSI), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and electronic product code (EPC) global activities.
He is also responsible for working with regulatory bodies in the United States, Asia and Europe to provide expertise in the modification or establishment of regulations for RFID technology. His project management experience includes implementation of both active and passive technologies.
Jennings held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (USAF) after serving 24 years in a number of capacities for the military, including Acquisition (Program Management, Contracting), Education and Training and Missile Operations.
In addition, AIM Global has appointed Mark Nelson, Savi's director of Corporate Communications, to be the first chairman of the newly formed Education and Public Policy Committee, which includes members from 10 companies in the AIM industry.
"The mission of the Education and Public Policy Committee is to work with AIM Global management to develop and communicate important industry recommendations, key educational material and significant partnerships," said Nelson. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the International Cargo Security Council, an association of professionals from all facets of the supply chain security community.
