Houston — October 4, 2005 — Wellogix Inc., SAP and ChanneLinx said today that they have finished implementing Marathon Oil Co.'s ("Marathon") QuickTix purchase-to-pay process for both supplies and complex oil field services.

The solution, according to the providers, allows complex oilfield service transactions to be directed through Marathon's global procurement process, thereby improving process efficiency and streamlining overall operations.

By using SAP NetWeaver, SAP's open integration and application platform, Marathon was able to integrate mySAP Supplier Relationship Management ("mySAP SRM") capabilities with the Wellogix Complex Services Management Suite.

The integrated package enables Marathon to improve complex services procurement and increase collaboration with valued suppliers.

According to Noel Garza, vice president of Global Procurement for Marathon Oil Co., "Early into Marathon's QuickTix/Wellogix implementation, personnel have remarked that processing invoices is now taking only a fraction of the time as before."

Peter Maier, vice president, Industry Business Unit for Chemicals, Mining, and Oil & Gas, SAP AG, added that SAP has seen a need for oil and gas industry partnerships to address expenditures on complex services procurement. "By leveraging Marathon's existing [enterprise resource planning (ERP)] framework, SAP and Wellogix have provided a solution to meet Marathon's objectives. Further, for the upstream oil and gas industry, we see our partnership with Wellogix fitting nicely into our enterprise services vision."
