Release 7.0 offers new online search and pricing features, upgraded collaboration capabilities

Redwood City, CA — October 14, 2005 — Sell-side solution provider Comergent Technologies has released the latest version of its flagship eBusiness System, adding new online search and pricing features, collaboration capabilities for managing joint sales and marketing activities, and improved process controls, among other new features.

Release 7.0 of eBusiness System includes features designed to make the solution easier to use and more flexible and customizable, Comergent said. It is now easier to search online, configure a product or service, create an order and calculate prices, and it also is simpler for companies to integrate the eBusiness System with existing back-end systems, streamline online ordering processes and create custom functionality, according to the solution provider.

The new search features in Release 7.0 are intended to make it easier to search online and configure a solution with new search filtering based on product parameters guides and a new search and navigation experience that provides intuitive hierarchal results. Creating an order and calculating pricing is simpler, too, Comergent said, with improved quoting and proposal capabilities and enhanced invoicing and payment processing features that provide order-to-cash processing, from order capture through to payment collection.

Elsewhere, Release 7.0 includes the launch of C3 Partner Program. This new application gives partner and channel managers a single source to manage joint sales and marketing activities, and it allows organizations to assess program effectiveness and partner participation, according to Comergent.

Integrated into the Comergent eBusiness System, the C3 Product Information Manager (PIM) has data import and normalization features for centralized management of product information from both internal and external touch points. C3 Replenishment also can service the demand chain with vendor managed inventory (VMI) capabilities.

The new C3 Contracts provides standard terms and conditions, fixed pricing and quantity commitments to help customers manage both end user and partner relationships. Release 7.0 also includes updated invoicing and payment processing capabilities from collecting order and product information to receiving payment.

Comergent added that, based on the latest standards and service-oriented architecture (SOA), eBusiness Release 7.0 is now easier to connect into existing customer IT infrastructure. With improved modularity, customers need only deploy those applications that meet their business requirements, and customers can add additional applications and functionality later, according to the solution provider.

Comergent eBusiness Release 7.0 release and Comergent Managed Hosted Services are available immediately. Comergent offers monthly subscription or enterprise licensed pricing. Comergent Managed Hosted Services pricing starts at $7,000 per month and scales as needed, the solution provider said.
