Apparel manufacturer to use RedPrairie warehouse management as business grows

Waukesha, WI — November 29, 2005 — Gildan, a manufacturer and marketer of branded basic apparel, said today it has implemented RedPrairie's DLx warehouse management solution (WMS) at its new distribution facility in Eden, N.C. and plans to implement the solutions in additional sites.

Gildan is based in Montreal and distributes goods throughout Canada, the United States, Europe and other international markets.

RedPrairie WMS will optimize distribution for Gildan's growing business and will provide capabilities for their entry into the retail market, including tracking capabilities and compliance labeling. Gildan is also in the process of implementing RedPrairie DLx Labor for workforce performance optimization.

Commented Peter Schnorbach, vice president of Product Marketing for RedPrairie: "RedPrairie's DLx Labor tracks the efficiency of individual tasks and driving operational improvement. Instead of simply measuring efficiency, RedPrairie is able to tell 'how' a task should be completed to maximize productivity. Discrete standards are then applied, which quantify individual moves at a finite level to determine actual job standards."
