Supply chain execution specialist allies to make solutions available to new market

Grand Rapids, MI — February 11, 2004 — Provia Software, a provider of supply chain execution (SCE) solutions, is making its ViaWare and FourSite applications available to Caribbean companies through an expanded relationship with Provia's Latin American distributor, Tecsys Latin America (TLA).

The initiative into the Caribbean region involved the collaboration and support of Provia, TLA, and also Roger Marshall, a supply chain service provider with more than 19 years supply chain experience in the Caribbean region.

Provia said that the ability to increase the awareness of the company's supply chain execution solutions to the Caribbean market is important. "Taking our success in Latin America and applying it to the Caribbean region is a logical next step in the expanding relationship between Provia and Tecsys Latin America," said Paul Crist, vice president of sales and marketing for Provia.

Commenting on the initiative, Roger Marshall, who will coordinate efforts in the region, said: "Reengineering business processes to achieve sustainable improvements in such areas as cost, quality, service and speed will be key to Caribbean enterprises to maintain a competitive advantage in the current environment of global competition. For both import and export trade, Provia's Supply Chain Execution software solutions provide the real-time visibility to support the integration of extended cross-functional supply chain solutions to drive that competitive advantage."

Gregor Nassief, CEO of Tecsys Latin America, noted that more than 20 companies in South and Central America currently are using Provia's supply chain execution solutions.
