Santa Clara, CA — March 31, 2004 — Velosel Corp., a provider of collaborative product information management (CPIM) software, announced that its CPIM solution, Velosel5, now supports UCCnet's data synchronization services release 2.2.

The company also said it has entered a partnership with the WorldWide Retail Exchange (WWRE), an Internet-based B2B exchange for retailers and suppliers, that will enable the Velosel5 application to interoperate with the WWRE's Worldwide Item Management (WIM) solution.

This UCCnet certification enables Velosel to use UCCnet's extensible markup language (XML) schemas for standard messaging, complying with Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) standards, as well as additional schemas for the EAN.UCC System, a global standards system co-managed and administered by the Uniform Code Council. Velosel said the schemas allow UCCnet subscribers to exchange and synchronize data with their trading partners on a global scale and across additional industry vertical markets.

Russ Henry, vice president of marketing at Velosel, said, "By continuing to support globally recognized standards, we can help fast track our customers' CPIM implementations."

With regard to the WWRE partnership, Velosel said it has become a member of the WWRE WorldSYNC Partner Program, which was created with the goal of helping WWRE members and their trading partners streamline their product information management and provide a blueprint for adoption of item synchronization.

Velosel said its Worldwide Item Management (WIM)-compatible solution enables improved collaborative product information management processes and workflows, such as faster time to market, fewer product information errors and greater productivity.

"Through the WorldSYNC Partner Program, the WWRE is committed to identifying and deploying best-of-breed technology for the benefit of members and their trading partners," said Pete Plotas, director of strategic alliances of the WWRE. "This partnership with Velosel enhances the overall value of our item synchronization service because we can provide suppliers and retailers with a pragmatic roadmap for collaborative data synchronization."

Velosel said its Velosel5 is designed to maximize business performance by streamlining the creation, management and synchronization of product information within an enterprise and across the value chain.
