Chicago, IL — May 7, 2004 — The Canadian unit of pharmaceutical group Sanofi-Synthelabo is set to implement a demand management solution from John Galt Solutions in a bid to improve its supply chain visibility.

A global research-based company with 32,500 employees in more than 100 countries, Sanofi-Synthelabo has sales worldwide of about $9.7 billion.

The Canadian unit of the company will implement Galt's Demand Management Engine, which is the forecasting and demand management component of the provider's Atlas Planning Suite.

Based on Galt's ForecastX enterprise forecasting technology, the Atlas Planning Suite is comprised of seven applications, including the Demand Management Engine, as well as Inventory Management, Promotional Performance Management, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, Sarbanes-Oxley Act Reporting, Sales & Operations Planning and the Web-enabled Planning Portal.
