Total Logistic Control deploys G-Log solution to offer new transportation services
Zeeland, MI June 28, 2004 Supply chain services company Total Logistic Control (TLC) has implemented a solution from G-Log to upgrade its logistics capabilities and offer new integrated transportation services.
Headquartered in Zeeland, Mich., TLC provides such services as distribution center operations, transportation management, dedicated manufacturing operations and supply chain planning. The company is a subsidiary of Total Logistics, Inc.
TLC selected G-Log Global Command and Control Center (GC3) software to centralize data from multiple systems and improve service to customers. G-Log said that the platform, implemented in less than 100 days, enables TLC to broaden its service offering through its execution functionality and decision support. The new system also will allow TLC to retire its i2 legacy system, according to G-Log.
"We chose G-Log's software because of its strong execution capabilities," said Bob Koerner, president and chief operating officer at TLC. "In addition, the single platform gives us the ability to manage and optimize transportation for all of our clients in a single system. With G-Log, we are no longer managing transactions, we are managing processes."
TLC integrated the full G-Log solution from order entry to freight settlement across all modes and all geographies. Because the GC3 software provides supply chain visibility and execution functionality in the same system, TLC will be able to make better decisions by analyzing all transportation and logistics data across a multitude of customers, G-Log said.
