Pittsburgh — September 2, 2004 — Manufacturer Satellite Industries is set to use a Web-native enterprise resource planning (ERP) system from mid-market solutions specialist Adonix as part of an initiative to integrate its sales and marketing processes, streamline operations and provide timely access to information.

Minneapolis-based Satellite Industries is a privately owned manufacturer of portable toilets, sinks, deodorizers and service trucks, serving customers in more than 77 countries. Founded in 1958, the company is the world's largest supplier to the portable sanitation industry.

Satellite Industries sells its products to private service companies, who then service the construction, recreation, commercial and event industries. Servicing an international market, the company's products have been used at the Olympics and other major outdoor events. Sales offices are located throughout the United States, with overseas offices in Belgium, France, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

The company will be using the Adonix X3 solution, a Web-native enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution targeted at midsize companies. The solution provides functionality across manufacturing, distribution, customer relationship management and accounting. Adonix said that the solution's intrinsic multinational design helps global companies manage the complexities of dealing in different currencies, legislations and languages.

In addition, the solution integrates supply chain management, workflow and business intelligence functionality to help companies streamline operations both within and outside their organizations, according to Adonix.

"It was important for us to find a system that will allow us to effectively collaborate with our suppliers and provide complete supply chain visibility and control," said Todd Hilde, president and CEO of Satellite Industries. "Adonix X3 met many of our supply chain, customer management and multinational requirements, and we are confident that our Adonix partnership will result in meeting our business objectives of servicing the customer better."

Adonix delivers enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and services to mid-market companies, the "Fortune 50,000" that the provider views as being underserved.
