Milwaukee, WI — October 7, 2004 — Webcom, a provider of quote-to-order enablement solutions for the selling of complex products and services, has released the latest version of its flagship solution, adding features designed to help companies increase collaboration, reduce the cycle time for approvals and further address the unique requirements of individual members of their sales and distribution channels.

New features in version 4.0 of WebSource CPQ (Configuration, Pricing, Quotation & Proposal) include advanced quote sharing and permissioning to improve team selling and the collaboration process, as well as explicit and implicit approval process to further reduce the quote-to-order cycle time.

Other new capabilities include event-driven triggers intended to provide greater flexibility and efficiency, and user-defined quote sorting and search capability. Elsewhere the latest version offers beefed-up rule writing intended to simplify the administrative process, enhanced territory assignment capability and new ease-of-use features in the administrator module.

Curt Monhart, senior vice president, sales and marketing at Webcom customer Danfoss North America Motion Controls, said that Webcom's ongoing investment in product improvements has allowed his company to expand its deployment of WebSource CPQ within its organization. "We continue to remove cycle time from our quote-to-order process, increasing both productivity and customer satisfaction," Monhart said.

"We pride ourselves on being a client-driven organization and nimble enough to provide quick response," said Aleksandar Ivanovic, president of Webcom. "Coupled with a robust architecture, this allows our clients to upgrade easily, allowing our clients to seize opportunity."

"The significant engineering domain expertise of Webcom enables them to easily translate trends in the marketplace into useful software features their clients can leverage," said Julie Fraser, principal at Industry Directions, a supply chain analyst and consulting firm.
