Green Bay, WI — November 10, 2004 — Schneider National has opened five new brokerage offices in the United States, Canada and Mexico in a move to expand the transportation and logistics service provider's ability to serve the targeted areas and find capacity for customers in the current tight market.

Green Bay-based Schneider opened new brokerage offices in Toronto, Mexico City, Chesapeake, Va., Columbus, Ohio, and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., bringing the total number of Schneider Brokerage offices in North America to 17.

Schneider Brokerage provides an additional source of capacity through a network of third-party carriers. The company said that the new locations are part of its ongoing commitment to expand Schneider National's field brokerage presence. Schneider said its brokerage associates work with shippers throughout these regions of the country who are seeking brokerage services across all modes of transportation, including less-than-truckload, truckload, intermodal, flatbed truck and over-dimensional.

"The opening of the Toronto, Chesapeake, Columbus, Mexico City and Fort Lauderdale offices will help us better service our existing customers in these regions and will facilitate the continued development of new markets and competencies for Schneider National," said Mark Rourke, vice president and general manager of Schneider Brokerage.

Regional brokerage managers Allan Smith, Ed Wood, Mitch Matheys, Carlos Davila and Steve Greenstein will lead the offices in Toronto, Chesapeake, Columbus, Mexico City and Fort Lauderdale, respectively.

Schneider said its brokerage operation increases capacity available to customers by providing shippers with a one-stop shop for access to additional logistics services and carriers who have been pre-qualified. Schneider Brokerage and its carrier network conduct business via the Internet through a Web-enabled carrier portal, www.schneidercarriers.com, matching available freight to available capacity.

Schneider Brokerage said it will continue its aggressive practice of establishing regional offices to serve its customers. Current regional locations for Schneider Brokerage offices include Green Bay, Wis., Little Falls, N.J., Fullerton, Calif., Concord, Calif., Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Baltimore and Laredo.
