Parsippany, N.J., Copenhagen, Denmark, and Hong Kong — October 3, 2003 — INTTRA Inc. a provider of e-business ocean logistics services, today announced Dole Packaged Foods has implemented the ocean logistics solution INTTRA-Link throughout two of the company's divisions in Asia, further automating the internal ocean cargo booking process.

A Westlake Village, Calif.-based food service supplier and a subsidiary company of Dole Food Company Inc., Dole Packaged Foods said it would use INTTRA-Link to electronically manage the documentation associated with the booking of food products from the Philippines and Thailand to a large number of ports throughout the world.

Prior to this implementation, Dole Packaged Foods said it had been using the Web-based INTTRA-Act solution for booking and tracking services in several of the company's major divisions, and will continue to use a combination of INTTRA-Act and INTTRA-Link services to offer the most flexibility for distribution to its customers.

Ulises Carrillo, director of logistics for Dole Food Co. said, "We made the decision to integrate INTTRA-Link with our enterprise computer systems in our major Asia divisions partly because the solution provides a centralized view into our global supply chain. This system has allowed Dole to book ocean shipments quickly, eliminating most of the oral communication previously conducted with many of our carriers. We expect to achieve even greater efficiencies as we go live with some of the other features of INTTRA-Link, which should enable us to more efficiently serve our customers."

INTTRA provides its portal connectivity to shippers and logistics providers and is a leading portal for containerized ocean freight services. INTTRA said it has managed 3.5 million bookings and over 14 million container events since its inception. INTTRA is connected to 18 carriers who collectively serve more than 46 percent of the ocean-going transportation market.
