Global communications provider deploys Documentum to increase employee productivity, improve customer service
New Orleans — November 13, 2003 — At the Documentum user conference in Louisiana this week, Infonet Services Corp., a provider of global communications services for nearly 3,000 multinational entities, announced it has chosen Documentum 5, the latest version of the Documentum enterprise content management (ECM) platform, as part of its new initiative to manage intellectual assets to make employees more knowledgeable and productive.
For more than 30 years, Infonet has provided managed network communications solutions and consulting services to multinational corporations. The company said that by implementing the new ECM platform it would be able to enhance productivity by streamlining and accelerating the work of its organization, which spans more than 70 countries around the world.
Managing all of the company's knowledge assets in a central repository with search and automated workflows makes finding and sharing information more efficient, Infonet explained. With the ECM platform, the company said it would enhance service to prospects and customers by using Documentum's Web content management products, as well as use Portlets, which is designed to facilitate and expedite the company's intranet, extranet and Internet publishing processes. The company will also deploy Documentum eRoom for enterprise collaboration.
