3PL incorporates warehouse management, supply chain execution solution into logistics platform

Dallas — December 8, 2003 — Grupo TMM has selected warehouse management and supply chain execution software solutions from EXE Technologies as its new corporate standard for warehouse management, automobile yards, ports and intermodal terminals as an integral part of the company's logistic and transportation services offered in Mexico and Latin America through its division, TMM Logistics.

Headquartered in Mexico City, Grupo TMM is the largest logistics and transportation company in Latin America and is the dominant provider of logistical outsourcing services, trucking, and specialized maritime, port management and rail transportation in Mexico. Grupo TMM also has a significant interest in TFM, which operates Mexico's Northeast railway and carries over 40 percent of the country's rail cargo.

The company has been developing a logistics and transportation platform in Latin America, TMM Plus, to integrate logistics services supported on Internet technology. It expects to launch EXE's platform later this year in order to provide greater connectivity to its customer base through the supply chain.

Initially, Grupo TMM will deploy four primary EXE modules. This combination of solutions in intended to enhance the company's customer service capabilities and create the functionality needed to optimize integrated warehouse management and real-time supply chain execution systems.
