Technuity to use solution to meet 40 percent increase in order volume for licensee of Energizer products

Eden Prairie, MN — December 10, 2003 — Technuity, the exclusive licensee of Energizer portable power and power protection accessories, announced that it is using HighJump solutions to optimize performance in preparation for its high-volume holiday season.

Technuity said it typically accommodates a 40 percent increase in volume for sourcing, packaging, distribution and value-added servicing operations for its top North American retail customers. Technuity has a diverse distribution model, servicing end customers, larger retailers and mid-tier customers.

The provider said Supply Chain Advantage, its supply chain execution (SCE) suite, gives Technuity the adaptability required to manage several distinct and complex distribution channels for its 3,000+ products.

At Technuity, an order profile could range from a single battery going to a consumer to cases or truckloads heading to large and mid-tier retailers and other businesses. Because of this, flexibility and scalability are key SCE system attributes.

HighJump's system also provides the execution side of Technuity's "Battery Wizard" service, an Internet-based method of transparently linking orders placed on a retailer's Web site to Technuity's operations for immediate fulfillment and distribution.

"The flexibility of our HighJump system is a huge selling point for us. As a result of our HighJump solution, when we sign a new retailer, we can have them up and running by the very next day — guaranteeing them speed to market," said Eric Tobias, vice president of marketing for Technuity. "There's a huge scalability factor required to support these retailers. In many cases they realize volume increases of 100 percent during the holiday season. HighJump's system empowers us to successfully meet their increasing needs."
