The 2nd GCCSCL 2015 will once again bring excitement for the logistics and supply chain professional, international and regional investors, government and key stakeholders to explore new ventures. This 4-day event will serve as a high-level platform to explore new opportunities, build partnerships and tackle important aspects on how Oman will lead and capitalise through its infrastructure and strengthen its unique geographical position in order to boost its trade and significantly contribute to the country’s economy.

The Sultanate of Oman is all geared up to position itself as the next logistics gateway to the Gulf and Indian Ocean region. Oman’s massive infrastructure development will turn the country into an economic giant in the coming years as significant improvement of its land, sea and air link is being developed. The undergoing large-scale upgrades of major ports in the sultanate such as Port of Salalah, Port of Sohar & Port of Duqm which will serve as strategic gateway to GCC region accompanied by the expansions of its road networks and the development of the ambitious Oman national railway project will help in the advancement of multi-modal connection across key areas in the Sultanate. While the newly built world-class airports is also seen to substantially contribute and increase the country’s capacity to handle both passenger and air cargo traffic.
