Sees 23 percent increase in sales of vehicle-mounted computers, growth in new MX7 rugged handheld computer

Atlanta — May 22, 2006 — Rugged computer company LXE reported significant growth in its vehicle-mounted computer sales and new account wins over the past quarter as the company reported its 14th straight quarter of record year-over-year revenues.

The company said that its revenues in the most recent quarter set a new record for first quarter sales, driven in part by substantial growth in sales of the recently released MX7 rugged handheld computer.

In addition, the company said it saw a 23 percent year-on-year increase in the sales of its vehicle-mounted computers for the first quarter of 2006.

"The market has embraced our Microsoft Windows CE .NET based line of computers," says Jim Childress, LXE's president and general manager. "We believe these new products, backed by our ... reputation for service and support, have positioned us well for continued growth in the future."

Based in Norcross, Ga., LXE offers a range of wireless products and solutions, including rugged mobile computers, auto-ID technologies, and wireless network infrastructure. LXE is a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMS Technologies, Inc.
