According to CBC, Canadian Pacific Rail reached a tentative deal with teamsters. Operations will resume as normally starting Thursday.
The rail company negotiated a four-year tentative agreement with conductors and locomotive engineers at CP, and a five-year agreement with condoctors and locomotive engineers at the Kootenay Valley Railway after a strike erupted on Tuesday, CBC reports.
CP Rail said that details of the agreement will be presented to the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference for ratification. The TCRC represents more than 3,000 striking workers. Details of the agreement are being withheld pending the ratification.
Although the strike is over for now, the ratification votes will take place over the course of a few months, CBC reports.
Operations are expected to go back to normal at 6 a.m. local time.
