Redwood City, Calif.Feb. 13, 2014Ivalua and HAVI Global Solutions (HGS) partnered to collaborate on an integrated spend management and supply chain solution for the restaurant and hospitality industry. HGS is implementing Ivalua Buyer as part of its managed services for Centralized Supply Chain Services, LLC (CSCS), covering the following modules: items, contract management and supplier relationship management. CSCS is the sole purchasing agent for Applebee’s and IHOP, representing more than 3,400 restaurant locations and $1.8 billion in spending.

Ivalua helps HGS apply advanced analytics capabilities in order to meet with the complexity of its industry, and provide its customers with a holistic solution that puts all key sourcing and supply chain management functionality in one place, including: supplier and distributor connectivity and visibility, data mapping, spend management, sourcing event management, pricing and contract management.

HGS selected Ivalua Buyer to help build a comprehensive system to manage the fully integrated purchasing process, ranging from complex and multiple sourcing events to contract management and invoice price variance analysis. HGS is depending on Ivalua for this key enterprise system that manages more than 45,000 items, with several thousand items that must be tracked from sourcing events to transactional data, and more.

Ivalua delivers fully integrated data management, and CSCS is well-equipped with a system that provides visibility and detailed reports on transactions, which helps in the management of invoices as well as vendors.

“The complexity of the organizational structure of this project is exciting, reflecting the multiple performers and roles involved in the food service industry. The flexibility of our solution is going to help the client manage this complexity, and obtain relevant and reliable decision-making information for its procurement operations,” said Claire Cunningham, Ivalua senior project manager.
