GLENDALE, CA Oct. 10, 2000 In an effort to reflect the companys core technologies for enabling B2B e-procurement and marketplace systems, BidOnAssets, Inc. changed its name yesterday. BARLEX, Inc is the name they are sporting now.
"Changing the name was a logical step as our e-Business focus evolved." said R.J. Abnous, CEO of BARLEX. Originally, the company focused on the maximization of excess inventory. However, as B2B emerged, customer demand grew for their open architecture, Java-based systems that enable e-procurement, marketplaces and auctions.
Under the new name, BARLEX plans to market its web-centric products to Global 2000 companies in the procurement, auction and listings arenas.
