MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA December 19, 2000 Netscape Communications recently announced that it is expanding the services offered by its small business solution company, Netbusiness.
Netscape Netbusiness helps small businesses and entrepreneurs interact with consumers and other businesses via the Netbusiness Card, which enables registered users to establish a free online storefront . Netscape Netbusiness will now be available on a co-branded site with CompuServe, giving all of CompuServe's members access to Netbusiness. Netbusiness is expected to extend to other AOL brands as well.
Netscape will also offer a new search feature for the Netbusiness Marketplace. The new feature connects Netbusiness with PurchasePro's 240 private marketplace, giving Netbusiness's small business customers access to PurchasePro's 30,000 companies. With a Netbusiness Marketplace listing, a small business can become a potential buyer in PurchasePro's wider network.
In addition, Netbusiness will undergo a facelift that includes a new streamlined look, enhanced navigation, new services and improved content.
