PartMiner Pulls IPO

NEW YORK  -- March 2, 2001 -- VENTUREWIRE -- PartMiner, an online market for the electronic components industry, filed with the SEC to withdraw its planned IPO. In the filing the company cited an unfavorable market in scrapping the offering that was to raise up to $75 million. PartMiner had been in registration for over a year.


In January, the New York-based company inked a three-year deal with Dell Computer.  Dell Ventures became an equity investor in the company. Other investors include Boston Ventures Management, Cahners Business Information, IHS Group, Information Handling Services Group, Onex, Sea Coast Capital.
