Kellogg Builds Community

Hosts collaborative logistics Web cast for Nistevo

Minneapolis, Minn. March 28, 2001 Nistevo Corp., a provider of the Web-based Collaborative Logistics NetworkSM, announced today that Kellogg, a producer of ready-to-eat cereal and grain-based convenience foods, hosted a collaborative logistics Web cast on Thursday, March 15 and invited 41 companies to join the Nistevo network.

The Web cast focused on Kellogg, its logistics vision and how Nistevo is helping them realize that vision. In addition, the Web cast included a brief Nistevo overview and product demonstration. The hour-long, by-invitation-only presentation from Kellogg was attended by companies from the consumer packaged goods (CPG), packing /container and automotive industries.

Kellogg joined the Nistevo network on December 5, 2000, to enhance its inbound and outbound shipping movements and take advantage of the collaborative opportunities within Nistevo's growing member list. As a Nistevo community member, Kellogg plays an active role in the development of the Nistevo network, including helping with the formation of communities, interacting with industry peers and providing strategic guidance for future Nistevo.com functionality.

"We joined the Nistevo network because we saw the opportunity to not only achieve significant efficiencies, but also to play an instrumental role in the development of the network and product functionality," said Don Scott, vice president of logistics services at Kellogg. "Rarely do technology providers, like Nistevo, actively engage their member base to develop a collaborative solution. Even more rarely do companies get together to actually put business collaboration into effect."

Kellogg invited companies to the Web cast that they believed could benefit from joining the Nistevo network, as well as benefit current Nistevo members. Each time the number of Nistevo member companies doubles, potential opportunities for collaboration via Nistevo.com increases 390 percent.

"Since introducing collaborative logistics to the market nine months ago, our community members have become our most important asset," said Kevin Lynch, CEO of Nistevo. "By helping Nistevo grow our member-base, Kellogg is guaranteeing itself further opportunities for collaboration and efficiency gains."
