Partnership with SCM consultancy expands elcom's U.K., Asian presence

Norwood, MA  April 13, 2001  elcom announced this week that it has signed an agreement with London-based supply chain and procurement consulting firm SCIP Limited to offer elcom's e-procurement and e-marketplace software in the United Kingdom and the Asia Pacific region.


SCIP, which was formed by former Shell International procurement executives, will recommend elcom's suite of remotely hosted, automated e-procurement solutions, including PECOS Internet Procurement Manager and PECOS Internet Exchange Manager, to prospective companies in its operating geographies.


Commenting on the alliance, Chris Jones, managing director for SCIP, said: Our philosophy is to provide a practitioner's approach to improving procurement and supply chain practices with the goal of enabling business benefits.
