Atlanta and Santiago, Chile April 26 Clarus Corp. today announced a reseller agreement with Chilean holding firm Tech 1 Group to introduce the company's full complement of license and subscription-based, e-commerce solutions to one of South America's most lucrative markets.
The agreement calls for Tech 1 Group to promote, sell and support Clarus e-commerce solutions, targeting the large- and medium-enterprise (LME) market. Tech 1 Group currently provides professional and application support services to over 200 Chilean corporations in a wide variety of industries, including financial services, health care, telecommunications and manufacturing.
"Tech 1 Group has a history for introducing to the Chilean market innovative technology solutions that bring an impressive ROI [return on investment] to their clients," said Steve Hornyak, Clarus executive vice president and general manager for the Americas. "Customers will benefit from Tech 1's ability to provide Chile's only company-specific e-procurement services with a single point of ccountability for planning, designing, implementing, managing, and supporting these and other e-commerce applications."
According to Tech 1 Group, approximately 5 percent of Chile's 500 largest companies have an e-procurement initiative underway. Prior to this agreement, e-procurement options in Chile were limited to a handful of general electronic marketplaces operated by global providers with no Chilean expertise. Tech 1 Group is now set to offer the country's first enterprise-specific procurement solution and provide Chilean businesses with the ability to utilize company-specific e-procurement solutions.
"We look forward to working with our long-time partners and establishing new relationships with Chilean companies interested in significantly lowering the cost of obtaining goods and services," said Andres Model, general manager of Tech 1 Group. "By bringing Clarus' corporate procurement solutions to Chile, we are fundamentally changing the way companies will do business here."
