VerticalNet, DoubleClick join forces

Horsham, PA and New York  July 12, 2001  VerticalNet and DoubleClick, Inc. have announced a technology, media and e-mail alliance. As part of the agreement, VerticalNet will join the DoubleClick Audience Network. DoubleClick will now sell VerticalNet's advertising inventory to the B2B market across VerticalNet's 59 industry-specific online marketplaces. Additionally, VerticalNet will adopt and use DoubleClick's DART for Publishers 5 (DFP5) technology platform to serve advertising throughout VerticalNet's online marketplaces. This technology platform will provide reporting and analysis capabilities to its advertising customers. VerticalNet will also leverage DoubleClick Promotions and DoubleClick E-mail List Services solutions.
