Dallas and Santa Monica, CA August 1, 2001 Supply chain synchronization company Vizional Technologies has launched its Partner Development Program. As part of the company's collaborative commerce partnership initiative, the program leverages Vizional's distributed information technology to give customers access to a wider range of supply chain applications, and to provide partners with enhancements to their technology. The joint solutions will be marketed through Vizional's channels with ProLogis and i2 Technologies.
Among the initial members of the program are INSIGHT Inc., a supply chain software company and a provider of network optimization-based planning and scheduling systems; HotStatus, a provider of warehouse management systems targeting small to medium-size businesses; and eB2X, a provider of supply chain optimization/order promising solutions.
"By leveraging Vizional's peer-to-peer solution architecture with our partners' solutions, we can offer our customers a greater level of real-time functionality for new and existing supply chain and e-business applications, and enhance the value of solutions they already have in place," said Jon Kirkegaard, Vizional's executive vice president.
Dr. Richard Powers, president of INSIGHT, said, "Through this partnership with Vizional, we will be able to distribute our leading SAILS network planning product in conjunction with Vizional's products and services."
The VizionalNet Collaborative Synchronization Platform (CSP) is a patent-pending technology that provides a common platform for "extra-enterprise commerce" applications. The CSP provides a single environment for managing these flows that today require many applications and competing architectures; peer-to-peer sharing of supply chain information (e.g. schedules, pricing, catalogs, etc.); proactive monitoring of multi-event supply chain and logistics (e.g. multi-mode logistics tracking, non-event notifications, etc.); and high-volume Internet and private exchange transaction management.
