Minneapolis December 11, 2001 Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system provider Kewill ERP said this week that it will migrate customers of defunct shop management applications provider eMake Solutions to its own JobBOSS suite of shop management applications.
eMake Solutions went out of business in April, but under an exclusive agreement with Kewill ERP, eMake Solutions has sanctioned the migration of its eMake and Smart Shop systems to JobBOSS.
Kewill ERP said it will work with Begin2Know, a consulting company run by Stephe Faust, a former principal of eMake, to convert the data from existing eMake and Smart Manager systems. About 340 customers could potentially migrate their systems to JobBOSS.
John Moroney, vice president of sales at Kewill ERP, said his company is offering a trade-in program for eMake customers, offering a secure migration path for these customers.
"JobBOSS offered the best solution in the market to meet the specific needs of the eMake customers," said Faust. "We also feel confident our customers will benefit greatly from migrating to JobBOSS, which offers the added benefit of a Microsoft SQL server database."
Kewill ERP, a division of Kewill Systems, provides enterprise-planning software for small- and medium-size manufacturers. JobBOSS is a make-to-order-based ERP system focusing on specialty contract manufacturers and jobs.
