ePlus Updates Manage+

Asset management solution adds self-service functionality, improved asset history analysis

Herndon, VA February 13, 2002 Business process specialist ePlus today rolled out the latest version of its hosted asset management software, adding self-service functionality and improved analysis of an asset's history.

ePlus says that Manage+ v2.9, a component of the provider's business process automation solutions, helps enterprises reduce assets' total cost of ownership by providing detailed asset information and the ability to proactively manage assets.

Updates in the new version include self-service functionality to enable users to add, update, delete, copy, move and promote or demote assets and options based on appropriate user security privileges.

The provider says that the new version can increase an enterprise's asset knowledge by making it easy to obtain and analyze crucial details in the asset's history.

Manage+ also provides asset information to manage enterprise software licenses, reconcile invoices, calculate and pay property taxes, allocate equipment costs between cost centers, plan technology rollout programs, manage end-of-lease processes and link with internal and external help-desk providers to provide real-time asset information, according to ePlus.

ePlus customers for Manage+ include Duke University, ProBusiness and Michael Baker Corporation. The Manage+ software was first introduced in 1995.
