Sterling Commerce Taps ChannelWave for PRM

Integration specialist seeks to improve channel performance with partner relationship management solution

Cambridge, MA  May 17, 2002  Integration specialist Sterling Commerce has tapped applications provider ChannelWave Software to provide a Web-based solution to improve its collaboration with partners and channel sales performance.


ChannelWave said its Web-based software will enable Sterling Commerce to manage its indirect partnerships, monitor channel sales activities and provide the support its partners need to improve sales and customer service productivity.


Sterling Commerce collaborates with hundreds of channel partners to provide value-added electronic trading network services and integration solutions that help customers link data from internal applications and external trading partners. Its partners include resellers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, system integrators, consultants, value-added resellers (VARs), application service providers (ASPs) and complementary software suppliers.


The company will use ChannelWave 5 to manage channel business activities with the goal of making it easier for partners to do business with Sterling Commerce, improving channel effectiveness and growing indirect channel revenues, while reducing operating costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
