Atlanta, GA July 17 Collaborative commerce solutions provider Logility announced that WM Barr & Co., which markets and manufactures heavy-duty cleaners, removers, solvents and isocynates for the U.S. home improvement and automotive industry, has chosen Logility Voyager Solutions to provide visibility into the planning, manufacturing and replenishment of its consumer and industrial products.
Specifically, WM Barr will be using Logility Voyager Solutions Demand Planning, Inventory Planning and Replenishment Planning. According to Logility, Demand Planning reconciles demand history, orders, point-of-sale (POS) data and other information to produce overviews of demand by item, location, customer and/or group. Inventory Planning calculates the optimal balance between inventory quantities and desired levels of service based on industry best practices.
Replenishment Planning enables continuous replenishment policies such as Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) with advanced constraint-based, time-phased plans.
According to the company, Logility Voyager Solutions will also give WM Barr visibility into daily inventory balances by location and product, as well as the ability to calculate the appropriate safety stock that is needed.
