Sales agency selects software for visibility

Dallas, TX  June 18, 2002  In a bid to provide shared views of product, pricing and promotion-related information, CROSSMARK, a sales and marketing agent of consumer packaged goods, has selected viaLink for its data synchronization services.


According to Jim Borders, president of CROSSMARK Sales Agency, data synchronization is an essential component in efficiently managing and clearing deductions. "Having disparate data among our trading partners adds superfluous, post-sales activities that dilute, rather than enhance, the sales process." He said that by working with viaLink, his company is going to be able to have more visibility of information pertaining to products, their pricing and promotions.


"Having a single data-of-record for authorized items, pricing and promotion criteria will minimize discrepancies between supply-chain members," said Warren Jones, viaLink's CEO. He added that the added capability is going to enable CROSSMARK to focus on building market share for its client partners.


CROSSMARK has more than 10,000 employees in offices throughout the United States and internationally. It sells and services brands in the grocery, mass/club, drug and discount trade channels.
