Scottsdale, AZ and New York July 31, 2002 Small business and mid-market customer relationship management (CRM) provider SalesLogix and Vaultus, an enterprise mobility software company, have been tapped by UniFirst Corp. to provide the Vaultus Mobile Sales for SalesLogix mobile CRM solutions for the pocket PC to the company's entire sales force.
UniFirst has more than 7,500 people who serve more than 150,000 customer locations in 45 states, Canada and Europe from 150 manufacturing, distribution, and customer service facilities. The company is one of the largest providers of workplace uniforms and protective clothing in North America.
Dennis Assad, vice president of sales and marketing for UniFirst, said that during his company's first sales mobility trial laptops were used, but they were found to be too cumbersome for UniFirst's "high-contact" salespeople. "With Vaultus Mobile Sales for SalesLogix we're able to use lighter, more compact handhelds that are better-suited to our sales team's work style. We're getting lower sales costs and improved productivity, and our sales team is benefiting from up-to-date account information at their fingertips, less time on paperwork and more time making high-quality sales calls."
In a statement released by Valutus and SalesLogix, the companies said Vaultus Mobile Sales for SalesLogix is a Java-based client/server solution that offers secure mobile access to full SalesLogix application functionality from a pocket PC. It provides the cradle, dial-up and/or wireless synchronization of data; integration of online and offline operations, regardless of network connectivity; and centralized remote administration that controls access.
"We are proud that Unifirst chose Vaultus Mobile Sales for SalesLogix over some tough competition from other leaders in CRM," said Vaultus CEO Kevin Reilley. "We are seeing signs of increasing momentum in the enterprise mobility market, and are pleased to begin our partnership with SalesLogix with such a significant customer win."
