Tempe, AZ August 13, 2002 Catalog content specialist Requisite Technology and strategic sourcing solution provider ICG Commerce (ICGC) are expanding their partnership, with ICGC set to use Requisite's eMerge Content Workstation to develop large volumes of online content in-house.
ICG Commerce enables suppliers by creating and managing a large number of online catalogs on ICG Commerce's proprietary Web-based purchasing platform, RealExchange. The company said it has developed e-catalogs for 90 different purchasing categories with more than 2.5 million stock keeping units (SKUs) of product content for its customers.
ICGC said it expects that deploying Requisite's self-service solution will help reduce its content creation time by as much as 50 percent.
Because ICG Commerce customers have access to pre-built catalogs with preferred suppliers, they are able to begin using their procurement solutions faster than if they were to build the capabilities on their own, ICGC asserted.
"By utilizing Requisite's desktop tools we expect to significantly reduce our cycle time, gain efficiencies and increase quality during our content creation and management process," said Eric DiCianno, senior vice president and chief technology officer for ICG Commerce. "The efficiencies will benefit our customers through an accelerated e-procurement implementation and a more rapid time to realized savings."
