Using Credit on RouteOne

Joint venture picks SeeBeyond platform to manage credit application process

Redwood Shores, CA October 18, 2002 e-Business and application integration (eAI) solutions provider SeeBeyond this week announced that RouteOne, a Web-based joint venture between DaimlerChrysler Services, Ford Motor Credit Co., General Motors Acceptance Corp. and Toyota Financial Services, has selected SeeBeyond to standardize the credit application process. Specifically, RouteOne will implement SeeBeyond's e*Gate Integrator platform for the credit application management process.

Aimed at accelerating the credit application process, the founders of RouteOne said it is establishing a common and automated credit application management system, which will provide participating automobile dealers with the ability to submit credit application information and receive credit decisions from multiple finance sources through a single Web site. With the SeeBeyond solution as its I/T backbone, RouteOne's Internet-based system will be integrated with finance sources' credit decision systems. In addition, several SeeBeyond e*Way Intelligent Adapters will be implemented to provide connectivity among various applications such as Oracle, MQ Series and other JMS Queues.

"Automobile dealers have expressed their desire for a common tool to manage the credit application process," said Joel Gruber, chief information officer for RouteOne. "For our product to provide maximum value, it must be able to connect to many different types of proprietary systems and specialized applications that reside within the finance sources' various I/T infrastructures. After evaluating a number of integration solutions, we concluded that SeeBeyond was the supplier best suited to meet our needs."

SeeBeyond's background includes much work done for the automotive industry. In addition to serving as the global corporate integration standard for GM, the world's largest automotive company, SeeBeyond is providing integration solutions to BMW Group.

"The system that RouteOne is currently developing with SeeBeyond is a good example of the real-time information network in action," said Kate Mitchell, senior vice president of Marketing and Business Development for SeeBeyond. "Based on the SeeBeyond platform, RouteOne's system will allow information to flow between automobile dealers and financial institutions."
