Schaumburg, IL October 21, 2002 It's all about getting those cool clothes into their hot little hands. Intentia Americas and American Eagle Outfitters, a designer and retailer of apparel for teens and young adults, are currently implementing Intentia's Movex Fashion Collaboration Solution, which is a collaboration solution for manufacturers and distributors in the apparel, footwear and home textile markets.
The implementation of a wide range of Movex collaboration applications began in June at American Eagle's corporate headquarters in the United States and in its Eagle Trading subsidiary in Mexico. The licensing and implementation agreement was signed in June 2002, and was reflected in Intentia's second quarter results.
The Movex Solution consists of applications covering customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM), partner relationship management (PRM), business performance measurement (BPM) and e-business.
Steve Lyman, American Eagle Outfitters' senior director of distribution systems, said, "Our commitment to this division in Mexico includes a comprehensive enterprise solution implementation, which will help us expedite and manage the sourcing, production, finance and distribution for key categories within our AE brand. Additionally, we're looking to Movex to allow AE full visibility and control of its inventory in all phases of production at all times, and to track that inventory at a financial transaction level throughout each production/distribution process."
Commenting on the new deal, Intentia Americas President Linus Parker, states: "We are delighted to welcome American Eagle Outfitters to the Movex user community and look forward to a successful implementation of Movex Fashion to help drive supply chain visibility and efficiencies within AE's sourcing, distribution and warehousing operations."
