Lafayette, CO October 23, 2002 Lean flow manufacturing software provider Pelion Systems Inc. today announced a partnership with R. Michael Donovan & Co. Through the agreement, R. Michael Donovan & Co. will provide manufacturers with consulting and education services to complement Pelion's Collaborative Flow Manufacturing (CFM) software.
According to the companies, R. Michael Donovan & Co., with over 30 years of consulting, educational and implementation services experience for U.S. manufacturers, will support Pelion's growth strategy of outsourcing services to lean flow consulting and services practitioners.
The result's-oriented philosophy both companies take toward working with customers is another reason why they decided to partner. "A lot of companies have spent a lot of money on consulting services and software, without getting anything in return," said Donovan. "That's just not right." Pelion added that it requires every customer implementation identify target numbers that will result in measurable return on investment within a specific timeframe.
As for its CRM software, Pelion's said it is designed to optimize lean flow manufacturing by automating processes such as creating flow production lines and linking suppliers and customers to the factory floor.
Some of R. Michael Donovan & Co.'s clients include Boston Scientific, Federal Signal, FMC Corp., General Cable and Rheem Manufacturing. Pelion customers include Brooks-PRI, Detector Electronics (a division of Kidde plc) and Colorado MEDTech Inc.
