Boston, MA November 6, 2002 Omnify Software, a provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software, has introduced Omnify 2.0, a product lifecycle management solution for the electronics original equipment manufacturers (eOEM) and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industries.
Omnify said its software is the first PLM system that enables product collaboration from definition and design through the manufacturing supply chain. It can operate stand-alone or integrate into an organization's existing business tools and processes.
The provider explained that PLM technology integrates people, processes, and information, supporting all phases of a product design and build. As a result, the OEM experiences more product innovation, decreased time-to-market and improved partner communication. According to Gartner Inc., "product life cycle management (PLM) is the next major wave of opportunity for manufacturers looking to improve business performance."
