Lakeland, FL November 14, 2002 Who says you can't get anything for free these days? Saddle Creek Corp., a provider of warehousing, transportation, contract packaging and logistics services, said it is offering free warehousing space for one month in four of its markets in the Southeast and Southwest.
The company explained the purpose is to increase awareness and usage of the company's new facilities in certain markets, as well as increase awareness of its service capabilities in other markets.
Saddle Creek has two new facilities that are a part of the offering. One of the campuses is a recently consolidated facility in the Railhead Industrial Park in North Fort Worth, Texas, that offers nearly 450,000 square feet, direct rail service by both the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific railroads, triple Freeport tax exemption and is BATF bonded.
The other facility is located near Charlotte, N.C., and has more than 350,000 square feet of available space, food grade sanitation, rail access on the Norfolk Southern main line if required and contract packaging services, including special labeling, tray and multi-packs and product assembly and fulfillment.
The company added that it has two existing facilities that are also a part of the offering. One facility offers 880,000 square feet of food grade warehousing space in Macon, Ga., and provides contract packaging services. The other facility is located in Orlando, Fla., and it has more than 120,000 square feet of warehousing space.
Michael DelBovo, vice president, marketing and business development, said "This offer gives manufacturers and distributors a chance to use Saddle Creek's facilities and experience our services first-hand, while saving a significant amount in warehousing costs." The offer, which is good through March 31, 2003, is applicable for use of facilities in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Charlotte, N.C.; Macon, Ga.; and Orlando, Fla.
