Atlanta December 17, 2002 Procuri Inc., a strategic sourcing software and services provider, announced this week that it has extended its relationship with The Procter & Gamble Co. P&G signed a multi-year agreement to use Procuri 4.0 and Decision Analysis, Procuri's recently released optimization tool, across its worldwide operations.
P&G signed a one-year subscription agreement with Procuri in 2001 after completing a successful pilot program. Throughout 2002, the company extended the use of Procuri's strategic sourcing solutions to more than 600 users, conducted numerous events each month, and trained buyers and suppliers across the globe.
"Our relationship with Procuri is very strong. The company listens to our feedback, helps us to Web-enable our internal sourcing practices and processes, and gives us multi-regional support in our organization," said Hendrik Czirwitzky, purchasing group manager, P&G.
P&G also added Procuri's Decision Analysis to its suite of sourcing solutions. Released in October, Decision Analysis evaluates price and non-price factors to arrive at a "best value" decision. Decision Analysis is integrated with Procuri 4.0.
"Optimization has the connotation of solving only complex sourcing scenarios; however, we see the ability to use this type of tool to enhance many of our routine sourcing decisions that involve qualitative, non-price factors such as reliability and performance. We look forward to using the enhanced Decision Analysis capability," added Czirwitzky.
