Newport Beach CA January 6, 2002 IPNet Solutions Inc. today announced it is the only company currently providing a B2B connectivity solution that is both CPFR and AS2 certified, responding to the push the retail community is making toward standards adoption.
Colleen Edwards, vice president of marketing for IPNet Solutions, said, "Large retailers like Wal-Mart have already mandated their suppliers to support AS2, and CPFR is not far down the road. IPNet helps companies accelerate compliance while eliminating much of the costs associated with connectivity."
IPNet said its BizManager suite of java-based products allows companies of all sizes to securely exchange business transactions with their trading partners.
BizManager has been tested and evaluated for conformance to EAN.UCC CPFR and AS2 standards. By demonstrating data interoperability with multiple suppliers' products, the BizManager family has also been certified to use EDI-INT AS2 technology to transport CPFR messages. CPFR is a business process that uses forecasting models and ongoing point-of-sale transaction information to produce a collaborative environment for trading partners.
BizManager products also have the functionality needed to securely exchange data with any partner.
"At Dollar General, we take into consideration the long-term viability and benefits of our investments and interoperability is key," commented Dennis Krautsack, senior director, information services at Dollar General.
