New Certifications from MatrixOne

New programs target skills in mapping implementations to customer-specific business requirements

Westford, MA February 7, 2003 e-Collaboration solution provider MatrixOne today announced two new certifications for its eMatrix and Value Chain Portfolio applications, seeking to bolster implementation professionals' skills in configuring solutions to customer-specific business requirements.

MatrixOne already offers its eMatrix Certified Professional Program (eMCP Program) to certify individuals with proficiency and experience designing and deploying the provider's collaboration solutions. Earning an eMCP certificate requires satisfying a curriculum of educational requirements established by MatrixOne's professional services team and successfully passing standardized, independent testing which measures knowledge of MatrixOne products and applications.

The two new programs let these individuals bolster their expertise in configuring MatrixOne Value Chain Portfolio applications and aligning applications with customers' unique business requirements. The new certifications is available to implementation and system integration alliance members and MatrixOne professional services employees who are charged with implementing eMatrix and Value Chain Portfolio applications for MatrixOne customers.

eMatrix is MatrixOne's core product, a platform intended to facilitate collaboration among geographically dispersed departments and divisions within an enterprise and among the enterprise's customers, suppliers and other business partners to link customers, design chain partners and employees to their product development processes.

Complementing the core product are business applications known as the Value Chain Portfolio, a set of applications that integrate product information and business processes in support of value chain interaction, from internal department-to-department enterprise resource integration to supply chain interaction and customer configuration management.

The enhanced eMCP Program offers two new certifications that demonstrate role-specific levels of proficiency with eMatrix and Value Chain Portfolio applications. Candidates must satisfy the requirements needed to complete a specific program and demonstrate knowledge by passing associated examinations, with required annual product currency exams and version-specific training for major eMatrix and Value Chain Portfolio software releases.

"By offering two advanced certification levels, implementation professionals will be able to better align their efforts to customers' evolving business requirements," Mike Segal, senior vice president of customer success for MatrixOne.
