Chicago — April 25, 2003 — Precision Software, a provider of international trade management solutions, said Elizabeth Arden, a global fragrance and beauty products company, will deploy Precision Software's TRA/X International Trade Logistics solution to automate its entire U.S. export shipping process. By streamlining its exporting operations, Elizabeth Arden said it hope to improve order-to-ship times and reduce operational costs.
Elizabeth Arden explained it would integrate the TRA/X software with its distribution software system to perform automated packing, load building and generate international trade documentation. As a high volume shipper, Elizabeth Arden required a system that provided functionality for packing as well as building pallets and ocean containers. Precision Software's transportation management modules within TRA/X will enable Elizabeth Arden to fulfill its planning and shipping requirements with a single solution suite.
TRA/X said it would provide Elizabeth Arden with a selection of over 100 documents within the Export Documentation module and enable electronic filing of Shipper's Export Declarations to U.S. Customs through the Automated Export System (AES). Elizabeth Arden will also use the TRA/X Document Imaging function to scan and archive all shipping-related documentation for added shipment visibility and control.
