Arlington, VA — May 9, 2003 — The Department of Defense Document Automation and Production Services (DAPS) today announced it has begun use of the e-LYNXX Corp.'s new printLYNXX Agency Data Service. printLYNXX Agency Data Service will provide the Department of Defense, for the first time, information on its current and past print buying.
"DAPS is responsible for the annual purchase of approximately $100 million dollars of printed products through the Government Printing Office (GPO)," said Doug Harbach, e-LYNXX vice president. "They have been unable, however, to easily track orders for customers, accumulate reports on purchasing or easily determine the technical characteristics of the work which is being bought from it many purchasing locations. printLYNXX Agency Data Service will provide DAPS with the ability to do that and more."
According to the provider, the Agency Data Service offers online, 24/7 access to GPO printing order information from any computer connected to the Internet. While DAPS, other agencies and companies interested in Federal printing information can accumulate data into customized reports, the system permits buyers to obtain individual job specifications, bid results or print order information on not only current jobs, but those dating back more than a decade.
"Our long time and unparalleled partnership with the Federal Government has allowed collection and electronic archiving of data for an extended period of time on all available print jobs bought through GPO," Harbach adds. "This puts us in the unique position to be the only private sector company to offer a solution that can output and display such information dating back an extended era of time."
The e-LYNXX Corp. said it has been providing procurement services related to Federal Government Purchasing for more than a quarter century.
