Credence Eyes Service Parts Management

Taps solution from Servigistics to streamline part management processes, improve service levels

Atlanta — June 4, 2003 — Credence Systems, a provider of solutions from design-to-production test for the worldwide semiconductor industry, has selected the Servigistics solution to manage its global inventory of service parts.

Fremont, Calif.-based Credence will implement Servigistics globally to manage thousands of disparate parts. Servigistics will be integrated with Credence's existing SAP and Clarify systems and be entirely functional within the next several weeks, according to a statement from the solution provider.

"Servigistics' leadership position was a key factor in our decision to choose the company's service parts management solution," said Walter Karstad, vice president of Credence's customer service division. "The solution's global reach and ability to create immediate value and rapid [return on investment] will help sustain our high service and support levels."

"Credence has a clear, strategic commitment to service excellence, and understands the value of a single global application to manage all service parts," said Eric Hinkle, CEO of Servigistics. "The Servigistics solution will enable Credence to further strengthen its leadership position in customer service and support by giving them the ability to create service part demand forecasts, rebalance field inventory and trigger required procurement and replenishment orders."
